Cii is one of the original sponsors of Midtown Raleigh's first 100 minute fitness challenge, Get Moving Midtown.

As you may know, Cii is rooted in the heart of Midtown Raleigh, and is an active member and partner of the Midtown Raleigh Alliance.  The Midtown Raleigh Alliance is organizing Get Moving Midtown, a September 28 fitness, health, and fundraising event – and Cii is sponsoring.

Get Moving Midtown is a fundraising effort by the Midtown Raleigh Alliance to benefit the amazing work of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County.  Allister North Hills is the title sponsor; Cii Technology Solutions and subsidiary company, LobbyGuard, are sponsoring the event along with many other great Raleigh businesses.

Get Moving Midtown Challenge

September 28, 2014 is the first ever Get Moving Midtown Challenge.  The 1 pm to 5 pm event includes local fitness instructor-led exercise events, great local food, fun activities for kids including an inflatable obstacle course and health programs, free health screenings, massages, healthy cooking demos, beverage tent (with healthy smoothies and local beer), a vendor trade fair, and much more.

The event is free for kids under 14 and a suggested $10 donation for adults.  The 100 minute challenge is from 2 – 4 and includes five different exercise events led by Triangle-area gyms.  Those participating in the challenge may do as many exercises as they choose; those completing the challenge will be entered to win the Grand Prize.

On September 27, the night before the event, a handful of Midtown Restaurants will also donate a portion of their proceeds to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County.

Our Involvement

As sponsors of the event, we are contributing technology services to promote Get Moving Midtown.  We’ve donated time developing, managing, and updating the Get Moving Midtown website, and we are developing the event’s mobile app.  Our own Kristin Stewart is also serving on the event planning and sponsor committee.  Many of our staff members will be attending and participating in the challenge – we are expecting a big crowd, and we hope to see you there!

If you have any questions about the event, you can visit the website and contact GMM through one of the options provided.
